Our work

Helping people with disabilities back into their gardens

The Gardening with Disabilities Trust was created to help people with disabilities back into their gardens.  We do this by means of small grants to cover all kinds of adaptations or equipment.  In recent years we’ve paid for items such as accessibility ramps, raised beds, handrails on steps,  and even a garden-shed which lets in extra light for someone who is partially sighted.

Click  here to watch our short video explaining the impact of these grants on people’s lives.

In the rest of this section you’ll find more information about the kind of grants we give (check out our ‘Grants for Gardening page’), get some inspiration from what other clients have done in our newsletter and in our Clients’ Stories, find some useful sources of further information which may help you with your garden planning.

You’ll find all the details as to how to apply for a grant here.
